Rapid Response Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Hendersonville, TN

Shift: 4x12s Nights

Pay: $3467/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Rapid Response Labor & Delivery RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns in critical and fast-paced situations. This role requires expertise in labor, delivery, and postpartum care, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency scenarios. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about ensuring safe outcomes for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.


  • Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies and high-risk situations, ensuring safe, evidence-based interventions.


  • Circulate and assist in procedures such as C-sections and emergent deliveries.


  • Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progress of labor, intervening when necessary.


  • Educate and support patients and families during labor and delivery, promoting a positive birth experience.


  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.


  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary care team.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing


  • Current RN license in TN


  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience


  • Certifications Required:


  • BLS (AHA)


  • ACLS (AHA)


  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)


  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced Fetal Monitoring preferred)
