Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality healthcare services to preschool students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting student well-being, promoting a healthy school environment, and collaborating with faculty, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to students during the school day.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform suctioning and g-tube feeding as needed.
- Monitor student health conditions and respond appropriately to medical needs.
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers.
- Educate students and staff on health practices, safety, and wellness.
- Assist with care coordination and individualized healthcare plans.
Qualifications:
- Active LPN/LVN license in WA
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric care setting preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred
- Ability to perform suctioning, medication administration, and g-tube feeding
- Must be comfortable working in a middle school environment (no trach/vent cases currently, but may be needed in the future)
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
