Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at ATC Healthcare. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and infants during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct physical examinations and document patient progress accurately.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the labor process.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards and protocols during labor and delivery procedures.
- Assist in the care of newborns immediately after birth, including assessments and interventions.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS/CPR, ACLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and hospital medicine related to labor and delivery.
- Experience in administering injections and performing physical examinations.
- Ability to provide compassionate care in high-stress situations.
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery centers is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and medical staff.
