Progressive Care (PCU) Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract

Location: Nashville, TN
Start Date: 1/27/2025 OR 2/3/2025
Shift: Dayshift 7a - 7p 36 hrs weekly
13 week contract at a LTAC facility, ideal candidates would have Med Surg, or PCU/Stepdown experience.
Pay: Local(within 50 miles of the facility) hourly pay is $51 an hr.
Pay for a travel contract(50 miles away from the facility) is Up to $2,001.60 gross weekly breakdown is $25 taxed and $1,101.60 non taxed weekly for the travel stipend and a one time $1,000 bonus once 40 working hours of the contract are completed.

Job Requirements:
  • Current State Specific REGISTERED NURSE (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum of two years of PCU OR Stepdown REGISTERED NURSE (RN) work experience
Job Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN you will:
  • Possess specialized knowledge and skills for the care of adult or geriatric patients experiencing mental health disorders.
  • Apply specialized nursing knowledge in assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to complex conditions, therapies, and interventions.
  • Initiate nursing care, health teaching, and counseling to support life and restore well-being, following nurse practice act guidelines and under appropriate supervision.
  • Comply with ATC and client facility policies and procedures.
  • Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritize data collection based on individual needs, and perform ongoing assessments as dictated by patient condition.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Administer treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Document patient assessments, findings, and responses to interventions.
  • Initiate emergency measures as needed, following protocols.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Deliver patient care with cultural sensitivity and age appropriateness, preserving autonomy, rights, and dignity.
  • Advocate for patient rights regarding advance directives and organ donation.
  • Report patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift, as needed.
  • Comply with ethical conduct and professional Standards of Nursing Practice.
