Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and analyze results to assist in diagnosing cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results in compliance with medical standards.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols during procedures.
- Educate patients on the echocardiogram process and provide support throughout their experience.
- Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Certification as an Echocardiographer or equivalent qualification required. (ARDMS, BLS, CCI RCS)
- Strong knowledge of cardiology principles and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and vital signs assessment is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to cardiac care is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within emergency medicine settings.
