Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit assignment in Olive Branch, MS. This role involves providing comprehensive care for women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. The RN will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to women in labor, including monitoring fetal heart rate, maternal vital signs, and administering medications as needed.
- Assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring the health and safety of mother and baby.
- Perform post-delivery assessments, including newborn care, and provide education to new mothers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and assist in crisis management situations.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience with travel or 3 years without travel (Required).
- Licensure: Must have TN or Compact RN license at the time of submission (Required).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS (Required)
- NRP (Preferred)
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted.
- On-Call: As needed
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission.
Shifts & Scheduling
- Shift: Night Shift (3x12, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Weekend Requirement: TBD, minimum of six weekends during the contract period.
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be submitted at the time of application.
