ATC Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU position in Pocatello, ID. This 13-week assignment offers an excellent opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center with a comprehensive stroke program and advanced cardiac care services. The position requires expertise in caring for a diverse ICU patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiovascular, and neurotrauma cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional critical care to ICU patients, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
- Manage complex medical equipment and therapies, including ventilators, arterial lines, and cardiac drips.
- Perform advanced procedures such as PICC line management, procedural sedation, and titration of vasoactive drips.
- Assist with the care of ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions, including renal failure, dysrhythmias, and surgical wounds.
- Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.
- Adhere to infection prevention and isolation protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (Required).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Preferred Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work in a general ICU with a mixed patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, and trauma cases.
- Utilize EPIC and GE monitors for patient care documentation and monitoring.
- Provide weekend coverage every other or every third weekend, depending on unit needs.
