Pay Rate: $30 to $37 based on experience

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse /RN will provide skilled, personalized nursing care for students with special needs in community, school, or home health settings. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse/RN with experience working with children, adolescents, and families, focused on creating a therapeutic, individualized environment. This is a full-time contract position through May 2025.

Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing, qualifying you as a Registered Nurse / RN
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted license in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse / RN
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of recent Registered Nurse / RN experience, especially with children, adolescents, and families in a community, school, or home health setting.
  • Credentials: Background check, OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screenings as required.
  • Current BLS-level CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • Compliance with Hepatitis B vaccine
  • TB screening and baseline testing upon hire (two-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold as required)
  • Drug screening as per client contract.
  • Only clinicians with Ventilator experience/mastery should apply

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate life support systems and medical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient reactions.
  • Assist students with special needs in daily living skills, social skills, and recreational activities.
  • Record and maintain health information in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Ensure all care practices respect cultural diversity and age-specific needs.
