Job Description
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will:
- Administer injections, draw labs, and complete head-to-toe assessments, including for adult, child, adolescent, and substance abuse individuals.
- Log in/out sample and patient assistance medications.
- Log and dispose of expired medications and complete prior authorizations for medications.
- Re-order prescribed injections as needed.
- Assist MD/APRN as needed, including taking and entering verbal orders in the electronic health record.
- Educate individuals on medications, including adverse reactions, side effects, and benefits.
Job Requirements
- Current State Specific Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification (can be obtained during orientation)
- Minimum of one year paid LPN work experience within the past year of direct patient care in a similar setting
- Excellent phlebotomy skills
