Job Summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled L&D Nurse (RN) to join our birthing team and assist at a hospital in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and well-being of the mother and baby throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The L&D Nurse should be a strong communicator with a friendly personality, possessing the ability and physical stamina to provide a high level of care under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Continually assessing and monitoring the mother's vital signs, fetal heart rate, and evaluating labor progress.
  • Offering support to the mother during labor, helping with pain management techniques, positioning, and relaxation exercises.
  • provide education about the birthing process, breastfeeding, and newborn care
  • Ensuring a safe and sterile environment for birthing.
  • administer prescribed medications such as pain relief or medications to induce or augment labor
  • In case of complications during labor or delivery, nurses are trained to recognize and respond to emergencies quickly.
  • After delivery, provide care to both the mother and newborn.


Requirements
  • Experience: 2-year experience required
  • First-time Travelers: Yes
  • Certifications/License: BLS, Valid WA or Compact RN license
  • Charting: EPIC
  • On-Call: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
  • Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location
  • RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
