Educational Diagnostician

We are seeking an experienced Educational Diagnostician to join our team and play a vital role in assessing students' educational needs and supporting the development of effective educational programs. In this role, you will collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to gather necessary data, conduct assessments, and provide valuable insights to support students' educational success.

  • Gather necessary data for Special Education evaluations for students across settings, including Autism and Behavior Support classes.
  • Interview parents, students, and teachers to gather information regarding student concerns and strengths.
  • Coordinate necessary documents to support Evaluation Summary Reports and ensure compliance with Delaware state criteria and mandated timelines.
  • Observe students in their instructional settings to determine strengths and weaknesses and gather diagnostic information regarding student performance.
  • Gather and analyze data related to student behaviors and academic achievement for targeted students.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using a variety of assessment tools to assess students' educational needs.
  • Provide support in analyzing student assessment data when requested by the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain appropriate and confidential records and reports related to student evaluations and progress.
  • Collect data on progress on goals and objectives for each student and ensure compliance with all required timelines.
  • Conduct assessments, comprehensive report results, and follow Delaware state criteria in area(s) of special education eligibility.

Compensation: $18-$20

Schedule: 37.5hrs/week

  • Degree in Education, Psychology, or related field with specialization in assessment and evaluation.
  • Certification as an Educational Diagnostician in the state of Delaware.
  • Experience conducting assessments and evaluations for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Delaware state criteria and regulations related to special education eligibility and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of assessment tools and technologies to gather and analyze student data.
