Position Summary:
ATC Healthcare Services is hiring experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with expertise in OPWDD settings and guidelines. We seek DSPs who are empathetic, patient, and skilled in providing personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities for Direct Support Professional (DSP):
- Client Care: Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients.
- Daily Support: Assist clients with grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately per OPWDD guidelines.
- Behavioral Support: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors and foster positive outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Work with therapists, clinicians, and case managers to develop and implement care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established protocols.
Requirements for Direct Support Professional (DSP):
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in OPWDD settings.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and adhere to OPWDD regulations.
Necessary Licenses & Certifications for Direct Support Professional (DSP):
- AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel)
- SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
- CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED or Transcript
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Language: Proficiency in spoken English
