Job Description
ATC Healthcare Services - New York City is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining and analyzing cellular samples to identify abnormalities and assist in diagnosing diseases. This role requires a strong foundation in laboratory procedures, physiology knowledge, and data analysis skills.
Shift is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm with some flexibility - 100% onsite in Linden, NJ
Compensation
$85,000.00 per year

Compensation
$85,000.00 per year
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cytotechnologist
- ASCP certification is preferred
- Must have a current passing grade of an annual cytotechnologist proficiency test
- Training and proficient with Hologic Thin Prep Imaging System
Procedural Responsibilities
- Responsible for using clinical history and other patient information in arriving at the proper diagnosis for each cytologic specimen
- Examine cytology specimens for the presence of abnormal cellular changes and pathogens
- Sign out all negative gynecologic cases
- Report other cytologic findings, such as the presence of microorganisms endocervical component
- Evaluate and mark GYN (reactive and reparative, abnormal, questionable or negative)
- Submit reactive and reparative, abnormal and questionable GYN cases to a pathologist for final evaluation
- Record the results of each GYN slide read on the appropriate form/systems/etc. used in the laboratory, in a legible manner
- Submit daily workload of negative GYN cases for a minimum of 10% quality control review (including random high-risk cases) by a supervisory qualified cytotechnologist.
- Maintain appropriate records
- Maintain compliance with workload limits
- Maintain microscope in excellent working condition
