ABOUT THE MEDICATION AIDE POSITION

We have an exciting opening for a Medication Aide. The Medication Assistant works with general methods and procedures, exercises considerable independent judgement to select the proper course of action and is required to review the work of subordinate technicians to ensure conformance with established guidelines, methods, procedures, and policies.

Credentials required
  • OSBN State Approved CMA (CNA Med Aide) License
  • Background screening
  • OIG, SAM, OFAC and NSO screening.
  • Current health provider CPR from the American Heart Association at the BLS level.
  • Hepatitis B Statement or Declination [OSHA 29 CFR, 1910.1030(f)(2)].
  • Two-step TB test
  • Drug screening
  • A pre-employment physical may be required

  • The physical demands are representative of those that may be required by an employee to successfully perform the representative duties and responsibilities of the job. Applicant should be able to read medical equipment and documents. Pushing carts and medical equipment may be a component of the job.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment as necessary/specified by the working environment.
  • Methods of analyzing blood, sputum, milk, water, urine, food products, contaminates, soil, industrial and municipal waste.
  • Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
