Pay: $2,660/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a travel assignment in Oakland, California. This role focuses on helping patients restore mobility, improve strength and function, and regain independence through evidence-based physical therapy interventions and personalized treatment planning.

The PT will evaluate patients’ physical conditions, develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support recovery, injury prevention, and long-term functional outcomes. Assignments may include inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, or residential care settings depending on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical abilities, mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation strategies and injury prevention.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support patient safety, recovery goals, and independence.
• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical PT experience.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the role.
• Proof of required vaccinations and health screenings as applicable by facility.
