Pay: $2,710/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a travel assignment in Fremont, California. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence and improve daily functioning through therapeutic interventions, adaptive strategies, and individualized care planning.

The OT will evaluate patient needs, develop treatment plans, implement therapy programs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term functional outcomes. This position may involve working with diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, or residential care settings depending on facility assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and work-related skills.
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment use.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support patient safety, independence, and quality of life goals.
• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions.

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical OT experience.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the role.
• Proof of required vaccinations and health screenings as applicable by facility.
