Health Services Technician / HST

Job Requirements

Transportation Driver / Social Service Technician 2 / SST2

  • Two (2) years of job-related experience in social services-related position
  • Prior law enforcement, security, military or mental health experience preferred (but not required)
  • High School Diploma/GED

Job Description

  • Transport clients to our BHCC facility (Behavioral Health Crisis Center)
  • Report any changes in behavior or status to intake upon arrival
  • Work collaboratively with team to complete assigned consumer transports in a timely manner, in a company provided vehicle
  • Complies with ATC policies/procedures.
  • Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
  • Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Follows the patient's treatment plan as assigned.
  • Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
  • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
