Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by obtaining health histories and performing physical examinations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer prescribed medications, change wound dressings, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members-physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and more-to optimize patient care
- Provide education and support to patients' families about conditions, treatments, and recovery after surgery
- Monitor and ensure that patients are in stable condition post-surgery or during illness
- Coordinate discharge planning for patients
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of diseases within the healthcare facility
- Ensure the medical equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults to the relevant department
Requirements
- Experience: 1-year experience required, Telemetry and Orthopedic experience needed
- First-time Travelers: No
- Certifications/License: Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Charting: EPIC required
- On-Call:
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other
- COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
- Locals allowed: Requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location, zip code 68124
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
