Job Summary

ATC Healthcare is thrilled to welcome a compassionate and skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to a unit in Kirkland, WA. As a crucial member of our team, Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient care of our patients. The Cardiovascular nurse will have CVOR experience and experience in circulating open hearts and vascular cases. Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam
  • Prepares office and ultrasound equipment and supplies
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.
  • Selects appropriate imaging parameters, modes and techniques to identify, investigate, evaluate and document pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.
  • Implements safety standards with low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the healthcare systems and division's electronic medical records and ultrasound reporting system.
  • Assists physician with ultrasound guided procedures and the collection of specimens for analysis and routing to the designated laboratory for analysis.
  • Actively reports to physician anomalies found in scan and obtains follow up images to complete evaluation of conditions noted.
  • Follows established protocols for fetal evaluation and diagnosis.

Requirements
  • Experience: 2-year experience required
  • First-time Travelers: No, 1 year experience
  • Certifications/License: Certifications: ARDMS, BLS, NT (Nuchal Translucency) required and Fetal Echo preferred
