Endoscopy-GI Nurse

About the Role:

Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Endoscopy? We are seeking a dedicated RN for a 13-week contract assignment in Philadelphia, PA. You'll play a key role in providing quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patient conditions, and administering medications.
  • Telemetry Monitoring: Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor heart rhythms, identifying and responding to changes promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other RNs, to deliver a comprehensive care plan.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and wellness.

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Endoscopy
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)

Assignment Details:
  • Duration: 13 weeks (with potential extension based on facility needs)
  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift (8a-6p) OR Evening Shift (11:30p-8a)
  • Start Date: ASAP
