Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician at ATC Largo is a full-time, healthcare / medical role that provides supportive care and related services in order to meet the social, psychological, and medical needs of patients of all ages in a safe and caring environment. The position will be based in Hagerstown, Maryland, and serves as an individual contributor to the team.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $19 to $22 per hour paid weekly. The Behavioral Health Technician position also includes a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus vacation and sick pay.
Responsibilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their needs and in accordance with any applicable regulations
• Administer and oversee medication and behavioral management plans, document and track progress of patients
• Monitor patient behavior to assess and address potential issues
• Provide counseling, therapy, and life skills training to children, adolescents, and adults
• Conduct assessments, evaluate data, and develop individualized service plans
• Collaborate with various health care professionals to coordinate care for clients
• Provide education to families and support systems around the treatment protocols and mental health issues
• Champion patient advocacy and ensure emotional fulfillment
• Create an environment that encourages positive interactions and growth
Requirements
• Psych/BH experience required • Relevant experience working with the behaviorally challenged in a professional healthcare setting
• Knowledge of psychological/psychiatric disorder and trauma
• Ability to maintain patient records and documentation in confidential and compliant manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
• Valid driver's license
