RN Telemetry / Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Location: Omaha, NE
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights (12-hour nights; every other weekend)
Pay: $2,242.80/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

Travel RN for a combined Telemetry and Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care setting. Assignment includes adult patients with a small volume of pediatric cases annually. This is an auto-offer position with a required open-book skills exam during orientation (minimum passing score required). Nurses may float to other appropriate units based on staffing needs. Epic charting environment. Navy scrubs required. Artificial nails are not permitted for patient care staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for telemetry and med-surg patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments per plan of care
• Care for patients with post-surgical, cardiac, diabetic, oncology, and general medical diagnoses
• Document all care in Epic
• Float to comparable units as assigned
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

• Active RN license required at submission
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must live outside 50-mile radius (driver’s license required at submission for verification)
• Must not be currently or recently employed by restricted affiliated facilities
• Must pass required orientation exam
• Willingness to float required
• Positive, team-oriented mindset required
