Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3×12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: $2,278.80/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Novato, California. This role supports an acute care medical-surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical, surgical, and telemetry needs.

The RN will provide comprehensive bedside nursing care, manage complex medical conditions, perform advanced clinical procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Manage post-MI, CVA, renal failure, and surgical patients.
• Provide care for patients with:
  • Feeding tubes, ostomies, and CBI
  • Central lines, PICCs, and ports
  • Chest tubes and surgical drains
  • Tracheostomies and non-invasive airway support
• Administer medications including heparin, insulin, PCA.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood product administration.
• Manage wound care and wound vac therapy.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Float to appropriate units as needed.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required at submission).
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required.
• Travel experience required.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations.
