Pay: $2,316.60/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced acute care setting in Tracy, California. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients across the lifespan. The ER RN will deliver direct patient care, respond rapidly to emergencies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment outcomes.

This assignment requires flexibility in scheduling, including every other weekend coverage, with no guaranteed block or grouped shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions.
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritization of care.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and continuous infusions as ordered.
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, ventilatory support, and invasive lines.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms, arterial blood gases, and diagnostic results.
  • Assist with trauma response, procedural sedation, and emergency interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology, social services, and support staff.
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required.
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
  • Additional certifications accepted or preferred (facility will accept CPI or MAB):
    • CPI or MAB
    • NIHSS
    • TNCC (preferred)
  • Experience with a 4:1 patient ratio in an acute ER setting.
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting required.
  • Experience in community hospitals and trauma settings preferred.
  • Ability to work every other weekend; occasional back-to-back weekends may be required.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
