Pay: $2,129.40/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN to join the 17 James Medical Oncology unit. This unit provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric oncology patients throughout all stages of treatment, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, supportive care, and transitions to end-of-life care when needed.

This is a rotating days/nights assignment, and clinicians may be scheduled for days, nights, or a mix of both depending on department needs. Self-scheduling requests are allowed but final schedules are balanced by management. Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality MS/Tele care to adult and geriatric oncology patients across the full cancer spectrum, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to dysrhythmias and clinical deterioration.
• Manage patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy; administer blood products and central line care within scope.
• Implement and reinforce infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, create individualized plans of care, and coordinate treatments with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment, symptom management, and expectations throughout care.
• Document all care in EPIC.
• Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed.
• Complete required orientation: Week 1 (Mon–Fri days), Week 2 (36 hours with a preceptor).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience.
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio).
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong telemetry skills, including rhythm interpretation.
• Ability to manage oncology patient needs (oncology experience preferred).
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts and float within oncology units.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
