ATC Healthcare seeks a Full Time Resource Room Teacher to fill a position with one of our schools. This is an opportunity to join one of several exceptional school faculties and working with students in fostering a culture of excellence in education.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with learning differences in a supportive, resource-room setting.
• Work in conjunction with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and implement Individualized learning processes to address each student’s individual needs.
• Monitor progress, adjusting strategies and approaches to address individual specifics.
• Focus on instruction and intervention methods that address unique needs of individual students.
• Attend district meetings as needed and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines for special education services.
• Administer testing for student reevaluation
• Participate in school staff meetings, as required.

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working in a resource room or special education setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other constituents.
• Familiarity with development and implementation of IEPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of learning disabilities, ADHD, and other challenges that may impact student performance.

Position Details:

• Location: Nassau County, NY
• Pay Rate: $45.00/hr
• Schedule: Full time
• Shift Hours - School hours.
