Salary Range Annually: $56,118.40 - $89,793.60

Position: RN, Intensive Care Unit, ICU

The ICU RN provides and coordinates professional nursing care within established nursing standards, medical guidelines, and hospital policies. They ensure continuity of care across shifts, maintain positive relations with other departments, and support staff education, record-keeping, and policy updates. This role follows both ANA and specialty standards to ensure high-quality, competent care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed by supervisors.

Position:

  • Must have experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Client utilizes Allscripts Paragon
  • Must be able to read vital signs and provide injections/vaccinations
  • Must be able and willing to float without hesitation
  • 2 bed unit (step-down unit nursing position that must float to Med Surge and regular ICU)
  • Patient ratio is 2:1
  • 4 to 6 week orientation before going on to the floor- Hands- On Training
  • Client will give tour of unit at interview
  • Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, in accordance with established philosophy. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. The ANA's standards apply to all nurses in all settings, and additional specialty standards apply to all specialty nurse's defining what is a competent or an excellent clinician. Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: One year of nursing experience related to a specialty area preferred; one year of medical surgical nursing experience required. Telemetry and ICU experience required
  • Required Skills: Current N.H. R.N. license or Compact. ACLS Certification required; PALS Certification recommended. Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience required. PCCN or CCRN Certification preferred. Ability to learn and adapt. Ability to direct others.

This is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering comprehensive healthcare services including Medical, Surgical, and Intensive Care; Obstetrics; Pediatrics; and Mental Health.
