Shifts: Nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am, weekend rotation
Job Type: Permanent Placement
Pay: Hourly: 26.98hr - 43.17hr
Annual: $56,118.40 - $89.793.60
Sign On Bonus Pay Out Schedule: 5,000 in first check, $2,500 after 6 months, and 2,500 after 1 year

Position: RN, Emergency Room

The ER Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. S/he carries out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Qualified candidates should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current NH RN licensure. Two years of Emergency Department experience is preferred. ACLS Certification required; PALS Certification recommended. Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience required. CEN and TNCC Certification preferred.

Role Highlights:

  • Must have experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Client utilizes Allscripts Paragon
  • Must be able to read vital signs and provide injections/vaccinations
  • Must be able and willing to float without hesitation
  • 12 Bed Unit
  • Would be working with 3-4 other staff members on the unit.
  • 4 to 6 week orientation before going on to the floor- Hands- On Training
  • Client will give tour of unit at interview
  • Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, in accordance with established philosophy. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. The ANA's standards apply to all nurses in all settings, and additional specialty standards apply to all specialty nurse's defining what is a competent or an excellent clinician. Essential Qualifications:

  • Two years of Emergency Department experience - Preferred
  • BLS Required
  • ACLS - Required
  • PALS - Required
  • TNCC - Required
  • Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience - Required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Required
  • Current NH RN licensure or Compact - Required

This is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering comprehensive healthcare services including Medical, Surgical, and Intensive Care; Obstetrics; Pediatrics; and Mental Health.
