Shifts Available: First Shift (Day), Third Shift (Night), Overnight
Job Summary:
ATC Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The DSP will assist individuals in achieving greater independence, enhancing their quality of life, and participating in community activities while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
- Encourage independence and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
- Assist with community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement.
- Monitor and document client behaviors, daily activities, and any changes in condition.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all individuals served.
- Follow individualized service plans and behavioral support plans as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare providers, family members, and team members.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to drive to the assigned facility.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Residential Aide, or in a related IDD setting.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR Certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, community, or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of person-centered care and behavioral support techniques.
