• Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor heart rates, rhythms, and vital signs for patients in the telemetry unit.
• Assessment & Interpretation: Analyze ECG/EKG results and assess patient cardiac function.
• Medication Management: Administer cardiac and acute medications, including IV therapy.
• Clinical Care: Perform thorough, timely patient assessments, including rounding, and provide post-surgical care.
• Intervention: Respond immediately to cardiac emergencies, including initiating CPR and defibrillation.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic health record.
• Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, technicians, and specialists, to manage care plans.
• Education: Educate patients and families on diseases, treatments, and discharge instructions. 
   

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred or required within a specific timeframe.
• Previous telemetry, step-down, or cardiac experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and technical skills in EKG interpretation
