• Patient Care: Assess, triage, and stabilize patients with varying degrees of acute illness or injury in a 35-bed unit.
• Clinical Procedures: Administer medications, perform wound care, insert IVs, and assist with life-saving interventions.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Continuously monitor vital signs, document changes, and initiate corrective actions based on assessment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR) following all regulatory and nursing standards.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with attending physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Advocacy & Education: Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during crisis situations. 
   

• Licensure: Valid RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Education: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
• Certification: BLS (required within 90 days), ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience: Previous ED experience is required; experienced nurses looking to specialize in the ED are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and ability to handle high-stress situations
