Job Summary

Responsibilities include continuous telemetry monitoring, performing advanced assessments, titrating drug doses, and implementing care plans in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment.

• Patient Monitoring: Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor vital signs to recognize and respond to patient deterioration.
• Clinical Care: Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments, including post-surgical wound care and device management (catheters/drains).
• Collaboration: Work with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the team to develop and implement care plans.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Education: Provide comprehensive care education to patients and families.

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of acute care experience (e.g., PCU, ICU, Step-down).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Skills: Proficiency in ECG interpretation, strong clinical assessment skills, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
