Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,185.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Brownwood, TX. Preferred start date is 3/30. This is a Level II Maternal Facility with a Level II NICU. The unit averages fewer than 100 births per month with a daily census of 1–5 patients. May consider 48 hours/week based on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and surgical OB patients
  • Monitor fetal heart rate using external and internal fetal monitoring
  • Circulate, scrub, and recover C-sections
  • Administer and titrate medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, insulin, antihypertensives, and other drips
  • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage management
  • Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, infant identification, and breastfeeding support
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
  • Maintain accurate documentation (Allscripts; Altera preferred but not required)

Qualifications

  • Active TX RN license (license in hand required at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
  • Experience with C-sections, fetal monitoring, and high-risk OB patients
  • Must meet 150-mile local radius rule (locals not accepted)
  • Facility drug screen upon arrival includes marijuana (positive result = automatic cancellation)
  • Travel experience preferred
