RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Boone, NC
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:45pm–7:15am)
Pay: $2,052/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. Home unit will be standard ICU, with required floating to IMCU and Med/Surg based on patient volume. Candidates must be highly flexible with floating and comfortable caring for occasional pediatric patients. Epic experience is required. Weekend rotation includes up to two weekends per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill ICU patients
• Manage ventilated patients and advanced respiratory support
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
• Administer and titrate IV drips and sedation
• Provide central line care and advanced IV management
• Interpret ABGs and clinical data
• Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Float to IMCU or Med/Surg units as needed
• Document all patient care in Epic EMR

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or Multistate RN license required
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• Epic experience/proficiency required
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• NIHSS required
• PALS (AHA) required
• Must be comfortable taking occasional pediatric patients
• Must meet local radius rule (40+ miles)
• Must follow scrub policy (all white or all navy)
