RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Dayton, OH
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,129.40/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment providing high-acuity critical care. The RN will care for patients with severe and life-threatening conditions including respiratory failure, shock, trauma, and post-operative complications. This role includes ventilator and advanced device management and may require floating to LTAC-level patients based on census.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients
  • Assess patient condition and implement care plans
  • Manage ventilators, IABP, and advanced monitoring equipment
  • Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care
  • Perform wound care and advanced interventions
  • Administer IV medications and fluids
  • Assist with bedside procedures
  • Monitor and document vital signs and patient response
  • Respond to emergencies using critical care protocols
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary critical care team
  • Support and educate patients and families

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required
  • Recent ICU experience required
  • Minimum 1 year recent LTACH experience required
  • Trach and ventilator care experience required
  • Wound care experience required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Certifications must be attached at submission
  • Ability to float to LTAC-level patients when needed
