Mammography Technologist

Location: Palo Alto, CA
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days (weekdays and weekends; variable between 7–5, some evenings required)
Pay: $2,936/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in California. The technologist will perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using digital and 3D systems. Candidates must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and some evening shifts. Overtime may be available. This role requires timely onboarding steps, recent license verification, and full compliance documentation at submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
• Operate digital and 3D mammography equipment
• Assist with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsy procedures
• Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
• Use PPE and isolation precautions as required
• Document procedures accurately in the charting system
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff

Qualifications

• Active California state license required
• ARRT certification required; ARRT Mammography preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years mammography experience required
• Experience with 3D and digital mammography systems
• Skills in needle localization and stereotactic biopsy preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and some evenings
• Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
• Recent license verification required at submission
• Two recent professional references required
• Ability to complete onboarding modules and compliance requirements
