Pay Range: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour (based on experience)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The CVICU RN provides specialized, high-acuity care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-operative cardiac surgery patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced monitoring skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Conduct individualized and ongoing nursing assessments for neonatal patients.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies in a safe and timely manner.
Manage ventilators, IV and PICC lines, and titratable drips including dopamine and dobutamine.
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Provide education and emotional support to families and caregivers.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and completely.
Participate in emergency resuscitation and stabilization procedures.
Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all professional standards of practice.
Active RN License: Arizona
Experience: Minimum two years of recent experience as a CVICU RN (Level II or III).
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or Diploma).
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
Monitor and manage patients with invasive lines, ventilators, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz, arterial lines, CVP, etc.)
Care for post-operative open-heart, CABG, valve replacement, and cardiac transplant patients
Administer medications, titrate drips (vasoactive, inotropes, antiarrhythmics), and manage pain and sedation
Interpret cardiac rhythms, lab results, and diagnostic data; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Provide patient and family education and emotional support
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
Active Arizona RN license
2+ years of recent CVICU or high-acuity ICU experience preferred
Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring experience
Ability to manage multiple critically ill patients simultaneously
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS
CCRN preferred
