Shift: 3×12 Nights
Pay: $2,278.80/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a highly experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Crescent City, California. This is a high-acuity Emergency Department serving all age groups in a community hospital setting, requiring strong clinical judgment, advanced emergency skills, and the ability to function independently in fast-paced situations.

This role is best suited for seasoned ER nurses with extensive trauma and emergency experience who can manage complex patient presentations, critical care interventions, and high-pressure clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and emergency assessments.
• Manage acute and critical care patients.
• Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors.
• Provide procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation monitoring.
• Manage ventilated patients and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP).
• Interpret ABGs and cardiac rhythms/dysrhythmias.
• Perform central line care and critical access management.
• Support trauma and emergency response workflows.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across emergency services.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required at submission).
• Minimum 5 years of ER experience required (per manager).
• Travel experience required.
• Required Certifications (AHA only):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong trauma, triage, and emergency response skills.
• Ability to function independently in high-acuity environments.
