Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist)- Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

Location: Lincoln, NE
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Rotating
Pay: $2,383.40/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform highquality diagnostic ultrasound examinations and support physicians in accurate patient diagnosis. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a patientcentered approach.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts) following established protocols.
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort.
  • Capture clear, accurate images and adjust equipment for optimal visualization.
  • Identify, record, and communicate findings to radiologists or attending physicians.
  • Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Document patient information and exam results accurately in EMR or PACS systems.
  • Follow safety standards, infectioncontrol practices, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff for coordinated care.

 


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or eligible.
  • Certifications in OB/GYN, Abdomen, or Vascular preferred.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in ultrasound imaging preferred (new grads welcome depending on facility).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic techniques.
  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.

Work Environment

  • Hospital, imaging center, or outpatient clinic setting
  • May require weekend or on-call shifts depending on facility needs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and assist in patient positioning
