Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Acute Care - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

Location: Prescott, AZ
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,160 /week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Position Summary:

The Medical/Surgical/Telemetry RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. This role involves monitoring patients with complex medical conditions, administering medications, managing telemetry monitoring, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with medical/surgical conditions.
    • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and telemetry reports.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Clinical Monitoring:
    • Interpret telemetry data and promptly respond to changes in patient status.
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and education.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Maintain infection control standards and adhere to hospital policies.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

 


Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN license in [State/Region].
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
    • Telemetry certification preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience in medical/surgical or telemetry units.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
