Mammography Technologist - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

Location: Palo Alto CA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days
Pay: $2,754.00/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Position Summary

The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging procedures to assist in the detection and diagnosis of breast disease. This role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following established protocols.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort and dignity.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
  • Educate patients about the procedure and address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control guidelines at all times.

 


Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • License/Certification:
    • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT (M))
    • State licensure as required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
