Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

Location: Grand Island NE
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,301.48/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown team. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care to a lower acuity setting.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for moderately to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other diagnostic data.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on recovery plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory standards.

 


Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PCCN certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; PCU or Stepdown experience preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
