Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Encino, CA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Shift: 3×12 Days
Pay: $2,041.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Position Overview

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Encino, California. The RN will provide direct patient care in an acute-care telemetry setting, monitoring cardiac rhythms, assessing patient conditions, and responding promptly to changes in status.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid response skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with providers regarding patient condition, cardiac monitoring results, and diagnostic findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for telemetry patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry rhythms, reporting significant changes promptly.
• Respond quickly to deteriorating patient conditions, changes in vital signs, and cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and support ventilator-capable patients as needed.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Provide patient and family teaching regarding treatments, medications, and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and other nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Uphold infection control, patient safety, and hospital care standards.
• Remain compliant with all facility onboarding requirements including competencies, skills validation, health screenings, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required).
• BLS (AHA or Red Cross) (required).
• ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) (required).
• Previous acute-care hospital experience (required).
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Must be competent in rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
• Must complete Prime onboarding requirements (skills checklists, drug screen, background check, competencies, physical exam, etc.).
• Must submit resume and two professional references at time of submission.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
