Registered Nurse – Oncology (Chemotherapy Certified) - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)

Location: Columbus OH
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,353.68 /week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Position Summary

The Oncology RN (Chemo Certified) provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including the safe administration of chemotherapy and other oncology-related therapies. This role requires advanced clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide immediate interventions as necessary.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens, side effects, and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Adhere to infection control and hazardous drug handling protocols.

 


Qualifications

  • Education: BSN or ADN required.
  • License: Current RN license in [State/Region].
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
