CT Technologist – CT/X-Ray (Travel)

Shift: 3×12 Nights (Fri–Sat–Sun, 1900–0730)
Pay: $2,699.64/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Position Overview

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role supports a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department equipped with GE CT scanners, including GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice units. The technologist will perform a wide range of CT and X-ray exams while supporting OR, Endoscopy, Emergency Department, and portable imaging needs.

This role requires flexibility, strong technical skills, the ability to work independently on night shifts, and adherence to strict system policies, including the CommonSpirit 50-mile radius rule and no-artificial-nails policy. Orientation includes 1–2 department-specific shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging using GE CT systems including VCT 64-slice and Revolution 128-slice scanners.
• Conduct a variety of diagnostic studies across CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and ED environments.
• Operate GE imaging equipment and document exams using Epic EMR and McKesson PACS.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning, radiation safety, and adherence to department scanning protocols.
• Assist with portable imaging and cross-functional coverage across CT and X-ray areas.
• Prepare imaging rooms, maintain sterile technique when required, and manage radiation protection equipment.
• Participate in call and standby assignments as needed (response times vary).
• Support patient care workflows with professionalism, flexibility, and a positive team-oriented approach.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including the no-artificial-nails policy and hospital radiation badge protocols.
• Complete department-specific orientation (1–2 shifts) and comply with all required modules.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered CT Technologist (ARRT-CT) – required.
• Active BLS certification – required.
• Experience with GE CT scanners (VCT 64-slice and Revolution 128-slice) – required.
• Minimum experience in CT or X-ray; CT experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred.
• Must be flexible and able to work night shifts independently.
• Must meet CommonSpirit radius rule: permanent address must be >50 miles, verified by driver’s license.
• Must not be currently employed (FT, PT, or PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility.
• RTO must be submitted upfront (maximum 7 days per 13-week contract).
• Must comply with fingernail policy: Artificial nails prohibited.
• Ability to float to CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and ED as needed.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
