Registered Nurse (OR RN) Operating Room

Compensation: $/$2,400-$2,450/weekly 

Location - Albany, NY

Schedule: Days/Nights

13 week assignment 

On-Call: Possible on-call requirement (nights, weekends, or rotating call depending on department needs)

Job Summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic surgical services team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, able to anticipate surgeon needs, and experienced in high-acuity surgical environments.

Required Experience

Candidates must have strong OR experience in the following specialties:

• Cardiac
• Neuro
• Thoracic
• Orthopedic
• Vascular

Experience assisting with complex surgical procedures is essential for success in this role.

RN Position Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum one year of RN experience (OR experience strongly preferred)
• Background screening and drug screening per contract
• Ability to read medical documents and operate surgical/medical equipment
• Must be able to:
• Lift at least 30 lbs
• Walk long distances
• Stand for long periods
• Navigate stairs
• Assist in patient positioning and transport
• CPR/BLS as required by facility
• Facility-specific health and screening requirements may apply

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all ATC Healthcare and facility policies
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Prepare OR rooms, equipment, and instruments
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
• Respond to urgent and emergent patient needs
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient status and care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
• Deliver patient-centered care that is culturally sensitive and age-appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned (assignments may vary)
