Job Title: RN – Cardiovascular Surgery (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)
Location: Alexandria, LA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
Shift: 5×8 Days
Pay: $2,640/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Requirements

• Licensure: Active RN License in the state of employment or compact state

• Certifications: BLS required

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in the related nursing specialty 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to complications promptly.

• Administer medications and manage postoperative care according to physician instructions.

• Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient education and discharge planning.

• Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

• Document care activities accurately and efficiently within the facility’s EMR system.

Preferred Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills

• Effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams

• Experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic post-surgical units preferred

• Familiarity with advanced monitoring systems and post-surgical care protocols
