Pay: $1,945.80/week (plus $2,350 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,050 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a dependable and skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bad Axe, Michigan. The RN will be responsible for providing both direct and indirect nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring quality outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—the RN will deliver compassionate and efficient care while maintaining compliance with hospital and professional standards. This role requires a nurse who can manage complex patient needs and demonstrate sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive, and individualized nursing care for medical-surgical patients.
• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors to guide treatment and discharge planning.
• Implement prescribed nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Adhere to all hospital safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols.
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience (required).
• ICU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA required).
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to adapt to varying patient loads and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must provide Michigan license verification via LARA and Nursys at submission.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
