Pay: $2,005.20/week (plus $2,425 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,275 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Richmond, VA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgical procedures. The ideal candidate has strong Med Surg experience, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med Surg unit.
  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and treatment responses.
  • Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and other treatments accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on recovery plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing self-care needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in Med Surg nursing.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid RN license in Virginia (or compact eligibility).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to caring for a diverse patient population.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
