Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care for a surgical and telemetry patient population, including colorectal, bariatric, renal, and general post-surgical patients. This unit also supports diabetes management, wound care, and ostomy care needs.
This is an auto-offer role for qualified candidates. Floating to similar units may be required.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care for a surgical and telemetry patient population, including colorectal, bariatric, renal, and general post-surgical patients. This unit also supports diabetes management, wound care, and ostomy care needs.
This is an auto-offer role for qualified candidates. Floating to similar units may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to post-surgical and telemetry patients
- Perform detailed patient assessments and apply strong clinical judgment
- Start IVs and perform NG and Foley catheter insertions
- Manage wound care and ostomy patients
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, and document in EMR
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Float to other Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact or IN)
- Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg/Tele experience
- BLS required
- Strong IV start and critical thinking skills
- Experience with NG and Foley placement
- EMR experience (Cerner preferred)
- Must live 50+ miles away - locals not accepted
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
